In 1928 the Dal Negro family took over an Austrian-owned factory of playing cards that had been operating in Treviso since 1756. Over the years, the production of playing cards has reached a state-of-the-art through the introduction of new technologies, materials and processes.

The company's growth has required ever larger facilities. Thus, Dal Negro moved its original factory in Piazza Tommasini to Viale F.lli Bandiera, and then opened a modern plant in VIa Brigata Marche where production is carried out with high-tech equipment and in compliance with enviromental protection and energy saving regulations. In 2002, the company moved into new headquarters located in Piazza Cavarzerani at Carbonera di Treviso. Dal Negro has over 60 employees and a number of sales representatives around the world.

Playing cards are Dal Negro's core business. Playing cards are manufactured in triplex (a type of paper), international paper, and plastic for consumers and casinos. Dal Negro recently introduced acetate playing cards, which set a new standard for performance and are used by casinos around the world.

Dal Negro also manufacturers casino accessories and games. Products range from chess pieces and boards, to backgammon sets, roulettes and mats, to children's games. Dal Negro is a licensee of Walt Disney and assists in distributing Ravensburger and Wizard.
